Tim Norton is a tested leader who is involved not only as an elected official but as a community volunteer. He served as city council member in Haysville for nine years and later as Mayor of Haysville he dedicated his time and talents to the city after the May 1999 tornado. As Second District Commissioner he has strongly advocated for the southside when it comes to infrastructure investment and economic development. He has worked diligently on major drainage issues, road improvements, and special projects in his district while taking a leadership role on health access, homelessness, adult basic education, technical training, and countless other issues facing the community. And he still finds time to attend neighborhood meetings, participate in trash cleanups, conduct townhall meetings, engage in dialogue about the community needs, and support his scholarship program that has provided over thirty five $1000 grants over the last 11 years.
